BioVivo Science (BVS) is marking a significant first year of growth and achievement with two major organic certification milestones: the recent organic certification of its Jeffersonville, Indiana, botanical extraction and toll processing facility and the certification of its U.S.-made organic broccoli seed ingredient, branded as BrocoVio™ O.
The facility’s organic certification comes when consumer familiarity is at an all-time high – with nearly 90% of people recognizing the USDA Organic Seal, making it one of the most reliable food verification labels on the market (Organic Trade Association). The certification expands BioVivo Science’s quality and manufacturing capabilities and provides brands with additional options for developing and producing organic botanical ingredients in the United States. The organic seal joins the facility’s existing quality and industry credentials, including FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, cGMP, Kosher, Halal and NASC, as well as the company’s participation in EcoVadis, Sedex and the UN Global Compact.

The newly certified organic broccoli seed ingredient, BrocoVio™ O, is the first ingredient to launch from the company’s new broccoli extract platform, BrocoVio™, and marks another critical milestone for BVS. Selected for its naturally high glucoraphanin content, broccoli seed provides a source of the glucosinolate precursor used in the formation of sulforaphane. The ingredient is positioned for applications targeting areas of growing interest, including metabolic health, cellular health, detoxification, and cardiovascular wellness.
In addition to its organic milestones, BioVivo Science plans to soft-launch its organic acerola and organic cranberry ingredients. The company will also showcase its recently launched VeriPalmetto™, an authenticated saw palmetto ingredient harvested and manufactured in the United States, and highlight other U.S.-made botanical solutions, including American ginseng, natural caffeine from green tea, and stevia, along with its botanical extraction and toll processing capabilities.
