TriNutra’s ThymoQuin® Achieves Eurofins NSF/ANSI 173 Dietary Supplement Product Certification

Independent third-party certification reinforces TriNutra's commitment to quality, transparency, and standardized botanical innovation.

TriNutra today announced that ThymoQuin®, its premium, USP-grade black seed oil softgel capsules (bovine and Tapioca), has achieved Eurofins NSF/ANSI 173 Dietary Supplement Product Certification, marking another important milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering scientifically validated botanical ingredients supported by rigorous quality standards.

Issued by Eurofins Assurance, the certification verifies that ThymoQuin® softgels successfully met the requirements of the NSF/ANSI 173-2024a standard following an independent evaluation of product quality, manufacturing controls, and labeling. The certification also includes ThymoQuin Premium® and ThymoQuin Premium Organic®, reinforcing consistent quality across TriNutra’s standardized black seed oil portfolio.

As part of the certification process, ThymoQuin® underwent a comprehensive third-party evaluation that included verification of ingredient identity, label compliance, facility review, analytical testing, contaminant screening, microbiological testing, and confirmation that the product met the requirements established by the NSF/ANSI 173 standard for dietary supplements.

Independent certification plays an increasingly important role in today’s ingredient marketplace,” said Dr. Liki von Oppen-Bezalel, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer at TriNutra. “It provides an additional level of confidence that the quality systems behind ThymoQuin® align with the same scientific rigor applied throughout our research and development process. We believe our sustainable and transparent sourcing, proprietary manufacturing processes, and scientific validation help advance botanical ingredients and support our customers’ success.

ThymoQuin is a self-affirmed GRAS ingredient in the U.S. and is globally approved for use in foods and dietary supplements by authorities such as EFSA, Australia’s TGA, the Thai FDA, and Health Canada. It has received several global patents, has been clinically studied to support the gut-stress axis, and is available in oil and powder formats for nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, and oral care.
