The innovative fiber-based cap is recyclable as paper and biodegradable. NutraCap™ is brought to market in two standard sizes, 38 mm and 45 mm making it possible to replace plastic closures on several product ranges.
Using Blue Ocean Closures energy-efficient vacuum press forming technology, the cap boasts excellent mechanical properties and functionality. The innovative manufacturing process and cellulose material used, result in significantly lower carbon footprint compared to plastic and metal closures.
“The sustainability benefits are key and moreover we see consumer appeal as a clear advantage. It’s different from plastic, a natural material touch and feel, which we think has a great fit to the health and nutrition industry.
