Fuelling healthier futures in Barcelona
Since 1999, FEEB has been using sport and education as tools to promote inclusion, wellbeing and equal access to healthy nutrition for disadvantaged children. Working closely with schools, families and community organisations, the foundation delivers programmes that ensure every child has access to opportunities for development, supporting over 2,500 children and young people in Barcelona annually.
As part of the new partnership, Vitafoods Europe will support FEEB’s Healthy Third Half programme, which provides nutritious snacks for children after sports sessions, helping them refuel while learning about the role of balanced nutrition and an active lifestyle. It will also see the provision of 200 healthy meals for children with specific dietary requirements, helping ensure every child has equitable access to nutritious food, regardless of their individual needs. Collectively, these initiatives are expected to support over 700 children in the next year.
Vitafoods Europe will also provide a platform to showcase FEEB’s work to the international health and nutrition community, helping to build awareness and foster connections with exhibitors, industry partners and local stakeholders. The partnership will include opportunities such as exhibitor engagement days and promotion across the event’s channels, helping to extend the reach of FEEB’s work and support its’ mission.

A shared commitment to positive impact
Facilitated by the Barcelona Convention Bureau, which helps connect international events with local projects to deliver positive impact, the multi-year partnership reflects Vitafoods Europe’s commitment to social responsibility and creating a positive legacy in its host city.
Speaking on the programme, Marcelo Brull, Sustainability Manager at Vitafoods Europe, Informa Markets, said, “At Vitafoods Europe, our purpose is to inspire innovation that supports better health through nutrition, and we believe that responsibility extends beyond the exhibition hall. Partnering with FEEB allows us to give back to the city that hosts us by supporting local children and families to lead healthier lives. As an event that brings together the global health and nutrition community, we have a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference locally and bring the industry together around a shared purpose that outlasts the event.”
Sílvia Pérez, Head of Marketing at the Consell de l’Esport Escolar de Barcelona (CEEB), the organisation behind FEEB, added: “Every child should have the opportunity to grow, learn and lead a healthy life. We are delighted to partner with Vitafoods Europe to improve the wellbeing of children and young people across Barcelona. Partnerships like this allow us to go further — strengthening our programmes, reaching more families and working together to create lasting positive change in our community.”
